Visiting NewLand Nursery

When we began to develop our site in 1989, people would stop by and ask what we were building. Our reply, "a nursery," most often evoked more questions about daycare and the location of the playground. Actually, we care for plants - several hundred species - every year.
When you arrive at our nursery, the first thing you may find is our assortment of annuals - including traditional plants like geraniums, ageratums, dracena and marigolds but also the newest introductions, like 'Shadowdancer Ginger' Fuschia, 'Flying Colors Trailing Red' Diascia, and 'Cream Symphony' Osteospermum Daisy. We also carry culinary and ornamental herbs. Fresh basil, dill and parsley are only a few steps away from the table when you plant them in a container, and plants like lavender or woolly thyme make excellent accents to a perennial garden.
Alongside our annuals, you'll find deciduous and evergreen landscape-sized trees and shrubs. White pine, Austrian pine, Scotch pine. Apple trees, cherry trees, pear trees. Come see our lilacs, dogwoods, false cypress, junipers and much more.
A trip to NewLand is not complete without crossing the bridge over our pond and walking down to our wooded perennials area. We always stock hardy, reliable perennials for your garden, and you can always count on discovering new cultivars of your favorite plants. You will also find an extensive variety of ferns, grasses, groundcovers, and wild sods. Be sure to check out our selection of STEPABLES® - groundcovers that tolerate foot traffic, are easy to maintain, and prevent weeds from filling up empty spaces.
Aside from our plant material, you will discover whimsical statuary and garden ornaments, aquatic plants, containers, birdhouses, tools, fountains, books and other supplies.

Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
Sunday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (seasonally).
We have extended hours during the months of May and December, and reduced hours from January through March.
